New & Revised Exam Questions
The Coast Guard periodically develops new questions for use on its license and documentation examinations as regulations are developed and/or changed. Other questions are developed, reflecting changes in technology in the maritime industry. Additionally, questions used by the Coast Guard are revised to increase clarity by adding and/or deleting punctuation or through the rewording of the questions and its answers. Periodically, questions as described above will be published in this section as indicated by the month of publication. New questions published in this section will begin to be used on licensing and documentation examinations 30 days following their publication. The public is encouraged to read through all questions and submit comments on specific questions to the National Maritime Center.
