The International Long-Shore and Warehouse Union representatives have given notice that their membership will honor the picket lines at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, should the clerical workers in those locations go on strike. The clerical workers' union notified all parties on Monday that it has submitted its 'last, best and final'offer. The strike deadline passed on Monday, but negotiations have not yet broken down. The ports were affected by a 10-day strike in 2002, which crippled the movement of goods around the country.
