Diana Ships Coming and Going |

Last week, Diana Shipping completed the sale of the Pantelis SP, a Capesize dry bulk carrier for a reported $81 million. The 169,883 metric ton Pantelis SP was built in 1999. Diana is currently working on the completion of a new Capesize bulk vessel, with delivery expected in November 2007, and has orders pending for two others, to be delivered mid-2010.

Last month, Diana announced a 23-25 month lease deal with Naias, which will provide Diana with one of Naias' Panamax bulk carriers for a reported $34,000 per day from the Port of Baltimore. The Greek shipping company also took delivery last month of the newly-built Semirio, a 174,261 metric ton dwt Capesize dry bulk carrier, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. Diana has chartered the Semirio to BHP Billiton Marketing AG for a four-year period.
